Meg & Kevs Arapuni Wedding
Within this post is a major Love Story…. all about a Kiwi Boy and a Yorkshire Girl’s wedding day.
One of the most thoughtful and lovely people I know, married one of the funniest and caring people I know, Im proud to call them super close friends!
This wedding has been in the planning for 2 years, and the hardwork has really payed off, it was the most beautiful and relaxed day.
Meg and Kev were surrounded by the most amazing doting bridal party!!!
We arranged a first look of our gorgeous bride! I cant look at these 2 photos without tears
The wow expressions….you can see why, Meg made the most beautiful bride!!!!
Here are the culprits…….the ones who made Meg and Kevs day super amazing, Im truely honoured to have met those of you I haven’t before, you all did an amazing job of helping Mr & Mrs Atkins have their perfect day xxxx
The gorgeous and awesome MR & MRS Atkins…..
A bit of bridal party fun
The newly weds arriving back from Photos to a big welcome
The hall was decorated beautifully…… Looking as fantastic as what you would see in all the bridal mags
We stole Meg and Kev for a couple more sneaky photos before we headed off to get Meg changed into her party dress
This lot had to be included in the sneak peak…..its not Meg & Kev if its not a bit of fun
The first dance
An amazing night was had by all, and it wouldnt be and Ince/Atkins party without a little bit of naughty….. chocolate fish to who can guess what was going on here..
I have a wee habit of getting one up on Meg and making her cry happy tears, shes got me a couple of times, but got both Dan and I a goodie.
We opened our daughters keepsake from Kev & Meg (Liv was Page Girl for the big day)…. took one look inside and bawled!!! You can see why with this pic, the most amazingly thoughtful gift.

NZIPP Portrait Qs
So I’ve kept this underwraps for a few days, but im VERY VERY excited to announce that I am now a qualified (portrait) member of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography. And a massive thanks to my hubby Dan, Bex, Meg and Tere for putting up with me throughout the whole process – I was a total pain in the ass
What it means to me….it means that I dont actually suck that bad at what I do lol
A little bit about the Q programme if you aren’t sure what im on about….The NZIPP Qualification programme (Q certificates) exists to establish a standard of quality in the businesses of the institutes’ members. It identifies NZIPP members to the public as photographers who have attained a credible quality standard. It is not designed to exclude photographers from the organisation but rather helps to ensure that they are in NZIPP for the right reasons which stem from a commitment to running their businesses in a professional way, with skill and knowledge. This is what separates the NZIPP from associations and groups with no entry restrictions.
Abby & Chris – Windy Ridge Ohaupo
Tere & I had the pleasure of photographing Chris and Abbys wedding at Windy Ridge in Ohaupo, highschool sweethearts with the 2 most gorgeous boys!!
Abby is one of those girls with the most infectious smiles, we watched the domino effect she had on those around her, 1 smile from Abby and those around her just lit up too! Thanks for having us!!!
Kodak Gold Awards 2012
as usual, im pretty bad at blogging, and better at updating my facebook, things have been really hectic here with the onslaught of wedding season, a heap of new branding projects and big websites to boot.
I decided that with friends weddings approaching, and the large amount of my clothes that seem to have shrunk, that its time to do some excercise….so as Im typing this, i can barely move!!!! My stomach and thigh muscles feel like someone used them as a boxing bag….wish me luck that I will fit my dresses again
At the last minute I decided to enter a couple of prints into the 2012 Kodak Gold Awards, and I received a silver merit
What do you do on a very quiet Saturday night, have a lowkey bbq with family and friends, and play with the photobooth props that I made………

Gemma & Michael ….and an Okoroire wedding
Tere and I headed out to Okoroire to shoot the gorgeous Gemma and Michaels beautiful and relaxed wedding, Okoroire put on an awesome day for us, and Gemmas dress was just AMAZING!!!! Their ceremony was held in a hollow of trees just off a path in the Okoroire Hotel’s grounds, and I didnt have to come flying in through the trees on a rope to photograph it!!! Michael and his father teased me at our meeting that I was to photograph the ceremony from way way up ‘that” tree
Gemma & Michael….Thank you for inviting us to be a part of your day.
